The Palgrave Tennis Club (PTC) has four hard surfaced courts, with night lighting, available to our members from May to October.
Adding to our quaint country setting in Palgrave, we have our Historical Log Clubhouse with washrooms, storage and kitchen facilities.
The Log Clubhouse began its life around 1840 as a pioneer home. It then became the gift shop at Black Creek Pioneer Village. When the Village reconfigured its entrance, the old structure became redundant, whereupon it was transported by huge flatbed trucks to Palgrave. It has served as the Clubhouse for the Palgrave Tennis Club since the early 1980's.

Friday Night Social - Doubles - End of Season Potluck - Friday, August 25!
The End of Season potluck for our Friday Night Social was a resounding success, with many eager tennis players in attendance.
There was a large variety of food at the potluck which was very yummy - thank you to everyone who contributed to the party! As well, thank you to Diane, who organized the event, and all of the people who helped her with the set-up and take-down that night.
The season isn't over yet however. We are playing until the end of September (weather permitting)!

Upcoming Club Championship Tournaments
Mark your calendars to participate in these social tournaments. We might not have the crowds of Wimbledon or the National Bank Open, but it will still be a great day of exciting tennis!
Dates are as follows:
Ladies Doubles Tournament
Saturday, September 16, 2023
Men's Doubles Tournament
Sunday, September 17, 2023
Mixed Doubles Tournament
Saturday, September 23, 2023
Rain/make-up date is Saturday, September 30, 2023.
While these tournaments do feature competitive play, they are intended to be fun, social events to help bring the season to a close. The days typically run from about 9am to 4pm, depending on numbers, and will feature yummy food and prizes.
We do need a minimum of 6 to 8 teams to proceed, so please let Tim (tim.hoffman@sciex.com) know if you are interested in participating ASAP! If you can find yourself a partner that would be great; if not, we will do our best to pair you up.
If you are interested in helping out with the tournaments, please make sure to contact our Event Co-Ordinator, Tim Hoffman at tim.hoffman@sciex.com.
We are conferring with the weatherman to set us up with some beautiful fall weather, so we hope to see you out there!
